2008 FORUM RECAP:
By all accounts, the Manufacturing 2.0 2008 Executive Forum was a great success. Many senior IT and Operations professionals in attendance were able to hear new ideas and share their own with some of the biggest names in the industry.

With a theme of Do More, Go Faster…Fueling Your Innovation Engine, the 2008 forum kicked off with a keynote presentation by world-renowned futurist Alvin Toffler. As one of the world’s top advisors to management, Toffler shared his thoughts about the forces behind global changes and discussed the intellectual framework that could guide policy- and decision-making in the future.

Throughout the day, various speakers addressed the world economy and how globalization and commoditization are radically reshaping the business landscape. In addition, attendees and speakers discussed how information technologies and plant-floor manufacturing processes were converging faster each year.
